On a sunny May afternoon, America suffers a surprise terrorist attack, an attack that sets in motion events that will alter the course of history. The U.S. government has been destroyed, and the Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America teeters on the edge of the abyss.
At the president’s request, Major General George Alexander (USAF, retired) had agreed to serve as the secretary of homeland security for the duration of her term. The secretary of homeland security is eighteenth in line to succeed the president. Alexander never considered seeking the presidency, but on May 26th, he became the acting president of the United States of America. A president with no cabinet, joint chiefs of staff, supreme court, senior intelligence officers, congress, and or capital city. Fate, or perhaps destiny, chose him to save America.
Without a decisive leader, the United States of America would be lost.
A member of no political party, Alexander is a dedicated patriot who believes in placing America first. Knowing he must do what had to be done, Alexander threw the rule book in the trash and sets about saving the nation by appointing a cabinet and defending it from attacks.
The next morning, the great jihad begins, throwing the Middle East into chaos. Its purpose is to create a new caliphate, an Islamic Empire. Sleeper jihadi cells and criminals begin a reign of terror across the U.S. and Europe.
World leaders, some of whom had never met or even heard of Alexander, began to test him, and they would pay a horrible price for doing so.
President Alexander and his handpicked cabinet and advisors continue fighting America’s enemies, both foreign and domestic, as they overcome obstacles and enemies in their quest to save the republic and restore it to greatness.
Readers are saying,
“Wonderfully patriotic sequel!
“This book has plenty of technological details, but the author does a great job of keeping things moving and not letting technology bog down the story; the descriptions are simple but accurate. Boyland also does a great job of developing his characters, and you can’t help but fall in love with President Alexander as he pulls out all the stops and runs roughshod over the liberal bureaucrats who try to stop him from saving the United States and taking vengeance on those who attacked her. If you ever felt that the US needs to step up and act like the superpower she is, THIS is the book for you!”
